This week we have action from across the sporting landscape with football, snooker and rugby on offer for another action-packed midweek.
Wednesday 19th November: Women’s Champions League: Arsenal v Real Madrid 20:00
The Women’s Champions League continues with a tasty matchup between two sides fighting to be the best in their country as Arsenal host Real Madrid.
Madrid currently sits in fifth place in the table, with only goal difference separating them from the automatic playoff qualification spots. They have been better in terms of results too, with just a recent humbling 4-0 loss in La Liga during El Clasico against Barcelona.
That was their first loss since early September, with the two losses bookending a tremendous run of 13 matches without a defeat.
Arsenal have been in less consistent form with just three wins in nine across all competitions, with one of those victories coming in Europe in a 2-0 win over Benfica. The Gunners did lose their last Champions League fixture against Bayern in what was ultimately a feisty affair, as Arsenal blew a 2-0 lead to eventually lose 3-2 thanks to a devastating winner from Viggosdottir in the 86th minute.
They may struggle to right that wrong in this one based on their previous record when the two sides have met, as Madrid has claimed victory on both occasions with a 2-0 and, most recently, a 3-0 win for the Madristas, consigning Arsenal to zero goals scored against the Spanish giants.

Thursday 20th November, Riyadh Snooker Championship:
Judd Trump v Mark Williams, 19:00
This week, snooker will travel to Saudi Arabia for the second Riyadh Snooker Championship, which Mark Allen won last year. The tournament sees the best of the best that snooker has to offer face off for a share of the £785,000 total prize fund.
This week we have chosen to focus on a titanic matchup between world number one Judd Trump and fourth-ranked Mark Williams in a battle of seven frames.
Trump has been in imperious form recently with just two losses in his last ten matches, with three wins on the spin coming in the Champion of Champions. Although he lost to Mark Selby who took the Champion of Champions title yesterday at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.
Williams has been in less sparkling form as he exited the Champion of Champions with just a single win in the competition against Burden before being dumped out in the quarter-finals in a 5-6 loss to Mark Selby.
That was the Welshman’s second loss in the last three, with the other being a 6-0 demolition at the hands of Anthony McGill. Prior to the recent dip, Williams was on hot form with eight straight victories stretching back to late September.
The two do have a long-running history of battles over the years; Williams has earned victory in the last two meetings, with the last ending in a 17-14 victory for the Welshman. The last time Trump won against Williams was the Saudi Arabia Masters in October 2024. This meeting will hopefully be another classic where either can bolster their trophy cabinet or bragging rights for the time being.

Friday 21st November Premiership Rugby Cup: Leicester Tigers v Northampton Saints 19:30
We turn to cup rugby now as two sides fighting at the top of the Gallagher Premiership attempt to solidify their season with tournament progression.
Leicester is currently at the top of the PRC group with 13 points after winning all three of their cup matches against Saracens, Harlequins, and most recently, Newcastle Red Bulls, in a tight 10-8 victory.
They have been below their cup form in the league, however, with sixteen points accrued in five matches, which has them in fifth on 16 points. Despite two losses already thus far, the Tigers are coming into this match in fine form, having won back-to-back matches against Bath and Sale.
Northampton have had the opposite experience, with their league form outshining their PRC results, as the Saints are currently heading the table in the premiership. They are the only team in the top flight that has yet to lose a game, which has them two points clear of Bath in second.
In the PRC, Saints are lacking slightly as they sit outside the playoff spots in third with nine points. They were on track to dominate the group with two wins over Saracens and Harlequins but were curtailed by their last match, where they were beaten 31-14 by Newcastle.
The two have already met three times this year; the last time ended with a 32-26 league win for Saints, but the other two have belonged to Leicester, who won the other two by big scorelines, as they won 54-33 in February and a devastating 33-0 win in March.
