This summer, York Theatre Royal’s foyer will be transformed into a free pop-up exhibition which will feature photography, visual arts, audio, film and more as part of the ‘Sweet Legacies’ community engagement project.

Budding young artists are being encouraged to enter their artwork for an exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery. The Young Artist Open exhibition, previously known as the Junior Open, has been held annually at the Ferens Art Gallery since 2004 and celebrates the creative talent of young people in Hull and the surrounding area.

The Hepworth Wakefield Ceramics Fair – the go-to place to buy and explore all things pottery in the north – returns to the event space at Tileyard North, the refurbished mill opposite the gallery, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June, 10am-5pm.

A bold new mural celebrating the life and legacy of the Rowntree family will begin installation from Monday 2nd June in North Street Gardens, one of York’s most central – yet sometimes overlooked – green spaces. A spectacular giant globe artwork by the renowned UK artist Luke Jerram is coming to Harrogate this summer as part of HACS Harrogate Music Festival. Harrogate International Festivals is delighted to announce that Gaia, an acclaimed touring artwork, will be displayed inside St Wilfrid’s Church in Harrogate from July 4-12 with the support of North Yorkshire Council.
