York Design Awards Extends Application Date – Entries Open Until 18th April 2024!

The deadline to enter the 2024 York Design Awards has now been extended to 18th April 2024.

York’s property developers, housebuilders, homeowners, and architects are invited to enter any buildings completed in the last three years into the awards for judging.

The awards, which are now in their 16th year, are free to enter and celebrate the widest range of properties, from residential developments, community and commercial buildings, through to open spaces, buildings in the public realm and landscape projects.

Entries are judged against a set of criteria which includes Quality of Design, Context, Materials & Workmanship, Sustainability, and the Ability to Delight, and awards will be given according to the discretion of the panel of independent judges.

Entries are permitted for properties completed within the past three years within the City of York Council boundary.

Entries for this year’s awards can be submitted online via the York Design website: https://www.yorkdesignawards.org/application-form/. A PDF entry form can also be downloaded from the website.

Judging will take place in May, with the awards presented at a ceremony on Monday 1st July 2024 at the Creative Centre, York St John University.
