The Hole in Wand has today announced a new initiative to support Leeds schools. It’s offering free visits to Year 6 classes from any school with an LS1 or LS2 postcode.

The venue, in St John’s Centre, blends hands-on activities with immersive storytelling, giving pupils a unique opportunity to explore themes linked to literacy, creativity, teamwork, problem‑solving, and local Leeds heritage. The team would like to collaborate with teachers to identify how their visit can best support their learning.

Managing director (and Grand Wizard) Stuart Jarman is keen to give Leeds pupils a magical experience while supporting the curriculum:

“We’re proud to be part of the Leeds community, and what better way to give back than to work with local schools? Schools in the LS1 and LS2 postcodes are statistically less likely to have access to green spaces, creative experiences, and cultural activities, so we can support the curriculum far more than people might expect. We’re offering to work with teachers to make sure their visit fits their needs, and the needs of their students.”

To make the process seamless, The Hole in Wand Leeds has all required documentation ready for schools, including insurance certificates, risk assessments, safeguarding information, and operational details. This ensures visits can be booked quickly and confidently.

To arrange their visit, schools should book in by emailing writeforyou444@gmail.com no later than 5th October 2026. Visits need to have taken place by 6th November 2026.
