The UK’s centre for specialist dementia care, Vida Healthcare, has triumphed at the national finals of the Great British Care Awards after winning two awards.

The Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence in the care sector and pay tribute to individuals across the UK who’ve demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Sharon Oldfield has won the national Frontline Leader Award, and Nicola Dodds the national Dementia Carer Award after securing recognition at the regional awards ceremony held in July 2021.

The national final was held at the ICC, Birmingham on Saturday 25 September 2021.

Vida Healthcare nominated Sharon and Nicola for the awards as part of its ongoing initiative to recognise the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by every member of the team, particularly during the pandemic.

James Rycroft, Managing Director at Vida Healthcare, commented: “We’re immensely proud of Sharon and Nicola for the hard work and dedication they display everyday, and we’re so pleased that they’ve been recognised by the judges. They’re crucial members of our team and play a huge part in enabling us to continue delivering outstanding care to our residents. It’s really important to us that we recognise the incredible work of our staff, and continue to support their dedication and commitment.”
