What is NYO Unite?
Each Unite Day is a full-day musical experience, including:
Collaborative rehearsals and performances: NYO and NYO Inspire musicians unite for full-orchestra and instrument group rehearsals, culminating in a special performance for family and friends.
Peer-to-peer collaboration: An opportunity for young musicians to share ideas, learn from one another and connect with other musicians from different schools, regions, and backgrounds, who share their passion for music.
Creative workshops: Local young musicians join the NYO Community through creative events led by the NYO Creative Team.
All NYO Unite events are offered completely free to participating young musicians. The programme aims to deepen musical skills, enhance ensemble experience, and build community among young orchestral players.
NYO Unite is my first event as an NYO musician, and I am really proud to represent as part of The National Youth orchestra. I can't wait to meet more people my age who share my love for orchestral music, and by collaborating, performing and having fun, I hope I can inspire other young musicians to keep working towards their goals.
