Northern Talent Tracker: This Week's Key Appointments

Taylors Chimney Sweeping in Morecambe, Lancashire, a family firm established in 1958, is welcoming its third generation into the business.

As demand for open fires and wood-burning stoves rises, Paul Taylor is joined by his son, Matthew Taylor, to continue the chimney maintenance and safety business across Morecambe, Lancaster, and the surrounding region.

The firm is emphasising the importance of regular chimney sweeping to prevent the significant risk of chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. Current sweep Paul Taylor highlighted that 2,019 chimney fires occurred in England last year, most of which were preventable.

Matthew Taylor said: “I’m really proud to carry on his legacy and help the next generation enjoy the comfort of a real fire. It’s more than just sweeping chimneys: it’s about keeping everyone warm and safe.”

The move ensures the continued legacy of the North West-based service, blending traditional customer care with modern safety standards.
