Ahead of their move to Dewsbury’s Flair Stadium for the 2027 season, Huddersfield Giants have announced a club record number of ‘first day season ticket sales’.

The Betfred Super League team opened sales for their 2027 season passes at 9 am on Monday 14th September with queues having already formed outside the Accu Stadium ahead of the doors opening.

On the number of season ticket sales sold, the managing director of Huddersfield Giants Richard Thewlis said: “The support we’ve seen already means a huge amount to everyone at the club. There’s real excitement about our first season at the Flair Stadium, and we expect that momentum to build as the 2027 season approaches.”

The Giants’ intention to move their 2027 home matches to Dewsbury was announced when the club faced Catalans Dragons in August with the club continuing to ‘search for a permanent home within Huddersfield’ as part of its wider ‘One Giant Future campaign’.

The West Yorkshire side, following the RFL’s green light, has already broken ground on its £10m+ development of the Dewsbury ground, which will see ‘a transformational upgrade of the stadium, eventually increasing capacity to approximately 8,000 by the end of 2028’.

The club’s main contractor is ‘targeting completion of the Main Stand, including its SKY and media facilities, by the end of January, ahead of work moving to the development of a new stand at the stadium's open end’.

On the club’s plans and new stadium for 2027 and beyond, Thewlis said: “The way that our supporters have rallied behind the move has made us even more excited for our One Giant Future ahead. Huddersfield is our home. But for 2027, Dewsbury is our stage, and we can’t wait to get out there and make it a season to remember.”

Supporters are now ‘encouraged to register or book their season cards as soon as possible’ after 70 per cent of next season’s tickets are already being sold following the early demand which outstripped anything the club had previously experienced.

On the season ticket sales for 2027, Thewlis said: “With such high demand straight out of the gate, we are urging anyone who would like to join us for this next chapter to secure their season cards as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
