Heavenly Hideaway With Arisocratic Aspirations!

A former ‘Medici’ villa, once owned by the Italian banking dynasty and where Grand Duke Leopold II and his court resided at the hottest time of the year, has reopened for the summer season.

L’Andana, the idyllic Tuscan hotel and resort set in the heart of Maremma, has acquired a new 4-bedroom private villa with swimming pool, La Scuderia, along with 10 new elegant suites at its 18th century barn Il Granaio.

These are in addition to the 33 rooms and suites in the main Villa and 14 bedrooms with kitchenettes in family-friendly La Casa.

A heavenly hideaway situated at the foot of lush green hills lined with olive groves, but just 15 minutes away from the seaside, the Maremma is where many Italians like to holiday.

The property is a former Medici villa where Grand Duke Leopold II and his court resided during the summer season, providing a palatial sense of grandeur and typical Italian romance.

The hotel has an ESPA spa with relaxing treatments and vitality pool as well as a golf driving range and tennis court.

Guests can enjoy relaxed Italian cuisine overlooking the Tuscan countryside at informal restaurant, La Villa, or sample some fine gourmet dishes at the Michelin-starred La Trattoria Enrico Bartolini.

There is plenty for families to do during their stay: cycle trails, horse riding along the beach at sunset, mountain hikes, discovering fascinating abbeys, castles and watchtowers, or simply learning about geothermal energy at Biancane Natural Park.
