Yorkshire-based Jorvik Tricycles is celebrating the sustained success of its bespoke home demonstration service as the business marks 5,000 miles travelled across the country to take trikes directly to its customers to truly champion inclusivity and accessibility.

Propelled by the growing success of the service, Karl Walker was appointed as Home Demonstration Manager in Spring 2025 to oversee operations and meet rising demand. Karl now coordinates bookings, ensuring a seamless customer journey from initial enquiry through to test ride.

First launched in Spring 2024 as an innovative pilot scheme, the service has become a cornerstone of Jorvik’s customer experience and is now attributed to more than a quarter of customer enquiries. By bringing the showroom experience straight to customers’ homes, the business has further demonstrated its commitment to making cycling accessible for all.

More than a year since launch, the service has gone from strength to strength, enabling hundreds of customers across the UK to test ride Jorvik’s full tricycle range in the environments they’re confident in and use most. To date, Jorvik experts have travelled the length and breadth of the country, travelling as far North as Inverness and as far South as Penzance.

To support the continued success of the home demo service, Jorvik Tricycles has invested around £3,000 in a specialised van to bring the range of tricycles directly to customers’ doors. This investment underlines Jorvik’s commitment to accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of mobility or location, has the opportunity to try out a tricycle.

Available to book online, the home demonstrations allow customers to arrange an appointment with a Jorvik specialist, who will bring between two and four tricycle models tailored to their individual needs. Customers can test ride each model in their home surroundings, receive expert guidance and ask questions in a one-to-one setting.
