Managed IT provider Connectus Business Solutions has reported a significant year of growth, increasing its operating profit by 225 per cent.
The Doncaster-headquartered company also completed its first international deployment in Istanbul, launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) managed service, and invested £500,000 into full fibre infrastructure at Doncaster Airport. The business added 149 new customers and created eight full-time positions and two apprenticeships during the financial year.
In addition to its Yorkshire operations, Connectus expanded into North Wales through the asset acquisition of Wrexham-based I7 Technologies Limited, securing a new five-year lease on Wrexham Industrial Estate. In Greater Manchester, the firm renewed its lease at Salford’s CorpAcq Stadium for a further three years to support its North West client base.
The international project in Istanbul involved delivering a large-scale Wi-Fi and connectivity deployment across distribution and customer care facilities for an e-commerce provider.
Roy Shelton, chief executive of Connectus Business Solutions, said: “We have grown profitably, created new jobs, invested in our people and expanded our regional footprint. Every decision we have made this year has focused on strengthening the service customers receive while building a more resilient business for the long term.”
To support accelerated demand for cyber resilience, Connectus expanded its managed cyber security and compliance offering alongside the launch of Evolve, a managed AI service designed to help firms adopt technologies safely.
The firm also received regional recognition, winning SME Business of the Year at the Doncaster Chamber Awards and ranking 37th in GP Bullhound’s list of the fastest-growing technology companies in the UK.
Roy Shelton added: “For nearly two decades, Connectus has focused on making IT simpler, safer and more effective for businesses. That remains our purpose, and the opportunity ahead is significant. Businesses are navigating growing pressure around cyber risk, AI adoption and connectivity, and they need partners who can respond quickly, strategically and reliably. We intend to keep being that partner.”
