Cantorelli To Perform In Aid Of Never Hungary Again

Cantorelli will be performing a concert at St James the Great, Hebden Bridge Parish Church at 7.30pm on Friday, 5th April, is in aid of a charity which is very much a part of a theme in Calderdale's 50th anniversary celebrations commencing in April.

Never Hungry Again aims to support children and young people and eradicate local food poverty. Kindness and resilience is one of the themes developed in Vision2024 which now culminates in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the formation of the metropolitan borough of Calderdale in 1974. Calderdale Council partnered with the Community Foundation for Calderdale, which supports charities and voluntary groups across Calderdale, in 2020 to create the Never Hungry Again fund which now provides valuable funding to groups tackling food poverty in the borough.

The programme includes some favourite English songs, madrigals and motets from the group's repertoire by English composers from Tallis to Britten. Admission to the concert is free. All proceeds from donations at the concert will go to Community Foundation for Calderdale to support the Never Hungry Again fund.
