Greenside Festival, a locally-run family friendly festival set in Ravenstonedale, Cumbria, is back again from the 12th – 13th September 2025.

Since its launch in 2017, Greenside Festival has grown into a beloved celebration of live music, traditional games, and a sense of community. It’s located in the beautiful outdoor setting at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. As the kind of festival that makes people say “We should do this every year!”, it has gathered a core following of repeat attenders. While it’s still small enough to feel intimate, the festival this year features new additions to entertain both newcomers and veteran festivalgoers alike.

This year, it’s easier than ever to join the fun with a brand-new website and online booking system making grabbing tickets just a few clicks away.

What’s new this year?

A second stage! This year there will be a second stage - The Full Moon Club - set up in a cosy yurt with acoustic sessions, workshops, gurning competitions and live performances.

A sleek, mobile friendly website showcasing the full festival experience including photos and videos from last year, the full line-up and festival information.

A seamless online booking system, launching for the first time, allowing festival goers to buy day or weekend tickets in just a few minutes.

As well as the usual festival highlights:

A diverse line up of talented local and regional musicians with performances starting on Friday evening and continuing all-day Saturday

Family games and entertainment – free face painting, group games, children’s entertainers and activities including The Grand Cavalcade tent and performers all weekend.

Delicious local food from friendly vendors, a cash bar, cocktails, coffee and ice cream!

Free camping for tents (pets welcome, no extra charge). Campervans welcome at a small additional charge.

Nightly ‘Silent Disco’ so the party doesn’t stop when the live music has to!

Communal bonfire to welcome in the evenings under Cumbria’s starry sky.
