Burnley's royal fan
The royal confirmed he is a supporter of the Lancashire side - who are nicknamed the Clarets - after visiting the town on a number of occasions and previously dropping hints of where his soccer loyalties lye.
Speaking at a Windsor Castle reception for the British Asian Trust, he explained: "A consortium of my charities, including the British Asian Trust, has been working in Burnley.
"Hence, some of you asked this evening whether I support a British football club and I said: 'Yes - Burnley'.
"And people have responded 'Burnley?' Oh yes, because Burnley has been through some very challenging times and I'm trying to find ways of helping to regenerate and raise aspirations and self-esteem in that part of the world
.
"My charities have been working there together to demonstrate that an integrated approach can produce the best dividends."
Charles is not the only royal to follow a football team as his son, Prince William, has previously admitted to being a fan of Premier League side Aston Villa, who Hollywood actor Tom Hanks also has a passion for.
The 'Forrest Gump' star once said: "Years ago I was in London and I was watching a football match and it happened to be Aston Villa.
"I thought, 'I like their colours and I like the name so I'm gonna be an Aston Villa man from now on'".
