Tingley-based Pickerings Lifts, the UK's largest independent lift manufacturer has strengthened its Lift Regeneration team with the promotion of Peter Boydell, who has taken up the role as National Sales Manager.

Beginning his Pickerings Lifts career just over a year ago as a Technical Sales Engineer, Peter's vast sales experience - including five year's experience in selling lift modernisation projects - and high quality management skills was soon recognised and helped him earn the promotion to National Sales Manager.

Peter now heads up the nationwide sales team within the Lift Regeneration stream of the organisation, which has offices across the Midlands, North West, South East, South West and Scotland and is headquartered in the North East.

The Lift Regeneration team's expertise lie within modernising and replacing lift products, offering solutions to rejuvenate lifts which consider aesthetics, change in use, reliability, performance, energy costs and safety regulations.

Peter is now responsible for overseeing and making decisions for the specialist sales team and acts as the first point of contact for customers.

Commenting, Peter said: "I've always worked in sales during my career and as a result of this my skill-base lies heavily within communication. This is imperative for leading the sales team on a day-to-day basis, as well as working closely with the project team who deliver the services we recommend to customers.
