After an enforced lay-off last week when the Cinderford pitch was unplayable, Wharfedale have made just one change for the visit of high-flying Rosslyn Park: captain Rob Baldwin is absent on family business, so Richard Brown moves to number eight, with impressive young forward Alex Rieder coming on to the bench. Centre Dan Hart takes over the captaincy.
Wharfedale: Luke Gray; James Tincknell, Dan Hart (capt), Tom Davidson, Simon Horsfall; Will Bell, Philip Woodhead; Tom McGee, Ben Sowrey, Neil Dickinson, Richard Rhodes, Joe Quinn, Aaron Myers, Dan Solomi, Richard Brown.
Replacements: Joe Altham, Steve Graham, Alex Rieder, James Holland, Tom Barrett.
Rosslyn Park, in fourth place, had a run of twelve wins from thirteen matches at the end of which they actually rose to the top of the league, but since then they have lost three games in a row. In the reverse fixture in October, Wharfedale lost 21-17, having failed repeatedly to turn pressure into points.
Wharfedale will be targeting this match as an opportunity to increase their lead over third-bottom Stourbridge, who on Saturday host Cinderford, where the Greens travel next week in a rearranged match.
