Gateshead's Own Primula Hires New Managing Director

Kavli UK, part of Kavli Group and the charitable foundation behind Gateshead’s Primula Cheese, has announced Mark Butel as its new Managing Director.

Having previously been with Kavli UK for over 15 years, including nine years in a role as Head of Sales, Mark brings a wealth of sector experience to the role.

As Kavli celebrates its remarkable 100-year anniversary and eyes significant growth in 2024, Mark’s appointment looks set to propel the company from strength to strength over the coming years, overseeing the brand’s continued CSR efforts in the northeast region.

As part of the Kavli Trust, Primula donates all profits to good causes. Last year, northeast communities received £1.24 million in donations from Primula and its owner, the Kavli Trust.
