Film Preview: Tears In The Dust
Tears in the Dust is a feature film currently in production, filming in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

The film tells the story of Trevor Wallis, a very successful salesman happily working for a software company until he finds out his main boss has been cheating the company and business partner out of millions.

The company is closing and the boss has gone missing.

Trevor is owed money and things don't turn out too well: He has lost his job, his wife and now his dignity.

Trevor is down and out on the streets constantly drunk and things get worse.

The Director, Steve Call, came up with the idea for the film when he was on his way to hospital and saw a man who was sat against the wall and looked like he was crying.

He told Steve he had lost his job and lost his flat. But the thing that really struck Steve the most was that he was most bothered about the fact he lost his dog, who was his best friend.

It got Steve thinking... maybe I could make a film.

Steve Call said "Homelessness isn't just about people who have drug addictions and alcohol problems, and I don't think people realise how homelessness can affect anyone."

Steve Call is not just directing and writing the film but he's also the producer along with Dean Sills who is co-producer and lead actor playing the role of Trevor Wallis.

Dean said "We want to show that homelessness can happen to anyone.

"My character only turns to drink in the film to help him forget.

"He is a very successful salesman at the start of the film but soon ends up living on the streets due to other people's actions."

Steve from Bradford himself said "Bradford is so ideal for a movie shoot because of it's diversity with lots of locations from parks to old derelict buildings. It's a film makers dream.

"I will always try to make films in Bradford.

"And let's not forget that Bradford is a UNESECO City of Film, a fact, of which, which we are extremely proud.

The cast includes Jessie Joan, Kuljit Singh, William Marshall, Ciara O'Connor and Samantha Fisher.

The film is due for release on DVD in 2016 and shooting will complete around July this year.

A number of Yorkshire companies are also supporting the film including Yorkshire Tea.
