The team at Wold Top Brewery is celebrating after two of its newest beers were shortlisted in the deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards.

Landmark Lager, the first lager brewed by the Wold Newton brewery, has reached the final in the Beer category whilst the family business's first low alcohol ale, Intuition has been shortlisted in the Best Free From category in what is referred to as the largest and most respected food and drink awards in the region.

Kate Balchin, director at the brewery, said: "It's great to see our newer beers being shortlisted for awards. Fingers crossed that we can replicate the success of Intuition in the World Beer Awards where it won silver.

"Whatever the outcome, the dy awards are always a great opportunity to catch up with fellow family businesses over a great meal that showcases Yorkshire's finest producers."

Landmark Lager (4.2% abv) and Intuition (<0.5% abv) are brewed on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange using 100% British ingredients that include home grown barley and water from the farm's own borehole. They are available online at woldtopbrewery.co.uk and through independent retailers nationwide.

Winners of the deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards will be announced at an awards dinner at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday, 10th November, when Nigel Barden and Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.
