Wellness ‘First’ For Bangkok

A new wellness and medical retreat incorporating both ‘modern’ and traditional medicines – claimed to be the first of its type in Thailand - opens in Bangkok this December.

Set in the capital’s preserved ‘Green Lung’, a protected jungle-clad island on the Chao Phraya River, RAKxa will deliver tailored wellness programmes designed by certified medical doctors, whilst also incorporating revered holistic therapies.

The ground-breaking approach, said to be the first of its kind in the country, promises a fully transformative experience through personalised three to fourteen day programmes based on real results and cutting-edge technology.
Well suited for those looking to reset from the environmental stresses of everyday life, RAKxa will offer a series of 10 programmes all focusing on different health goals including Gut Health, Immunity Boosting, Body Solution, Facial Solution and De-Stress.

Complementing the wellness journey is a high-tech medical gym with Olympic athlete training equipment, hydrothermal spa facilities, an anti-inflammatory food philosophy, a cleansing tea lounge, an organic garden, and an enticing menu of workshops and activities. RAKxa will offer 60 private villas and two residences each nestled by a lake surrounded by flourishing botanical gardens.

Activities
From traversing nature trails to invigorating dance classes or hands on cooking classes with the Executive chef, Tai Chi, Yoga, Muay Thai boxing, and organic food lectures, enriching experiences are planned at RAKxa to ensure that every moment is fulfilling.

Dining
RAKxa's wellness cuisine is centred on ingredients and great emphasis is placed on their origins, the value of seasonality and the benefits of sustainable eating. The approach to food is also guided by an anti-inflammatory philosophy and is based on a deep understanding that gut and body imbalances are caused by the average modern diet.

Accommodation
RAKxa will boast 40 Garden Villas, 20 Pool Villas and 2 Residences. The first launch phase of the project will have 27 garden villas at 80sqm, each with their own lush, exotic garden with an ever-changing ecosystem of indigenous plants and flowers. The pool villas and presidential villas are expected in early 2021.

Located within a lush and expansive botanical garden, RAKxa is separated from the rest of Bangkok by a winding river, accessible by both boat and car, just an hour from both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang International Airports.

Nightly rates at RAKxa start from $2,000 per person for the Immunity Booster Package, with a minimum of a three-night stay.
