Terriers Get The Magic Rock For Christmas

West Yorkshire-based brewery, Magic Rock - Yorkshire Times' Beer of the Month of December- is the latest business to appear on the shirts of Huddersfield Town as part of the club's innovative campaign to attract sponsors.. The sponsorship is for Town's home shirts and was won as part of a limited-number raffle that allows tickets to be purchased by local businesses. The raffle is taking place before every game for the rest of the current season with the winning business being drawn at random and receiving considerable exposure in their hometown.

The craft brewers' iconic logo will adorn the kit in Huddersfield Town's match against Watford at the John Smith's Stadium today, Saturday, 19th December. After the game, the shirts will be auctioned for local charity, The Huddersfield Town Foundation, which supports young people across the Kirklees' community.

Richard Burhouse, founder and CEO of Magic Rock Brewing Co, born in Huddersfield and educated at Honley High, takes a strong interest in the local area and is pleased to have played a prominent role in what he calls the resurrection of brewing in the region. He is also a great fan of the town's football team - which now sits in fifteenth place in the English Championship, the second tier of the football league.

"As a lifelong Town fan, " he said." it's an enormous thrill to have the brewery on the front of the shirt; it looks like it belongs there to me, fingers crossed we can make it permanent one day! We've been partners of the club for a few years now, and really applaud them for this shirt-sponsorship initiative. The shirts will be auctioned off after the game with all proceeds going to The Town Foundation. After a tough year we can't wait for things to get back to normal so we can welcome fans to the Taproom to enjoy a few pints of Hat Trick before a home game again."

Come on the Terriers, get ready to rock! Magic!
