Seasonal Gin Cocktails

Just in time for the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness Slingsby has released its Blackberry flavoured gin.

Although it initially comes over as quite bitter sweet, once the tonic has taken effect the floral hints of violet come through, followed by notes of rich blackberry jam and a beautifully sweet finish giving it a well-rounded mouthfeel.

Slingsby Blackberry Gin is the ideal base for bartender quality cocktails at home, so why not try a few of our favourite cocktail recipes:

Blackberry Sour

35ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
15ml Rhubarb Gin (we recommend Slingsby Rhubarb Gin)
25ml lemon juice
10ml hibiscus syrup
Egg white

Method:
Shake all ingredients
Double strain into a chilled Martini glass

Hedgerow Mojito

35ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
25ml sloe gin
10ml sugar syrup
3 blackberries
200ml lemon tonic

Method:
Muddle blackberries with Slingsby Blackberry Gin in a cocktail tin
Then double strain over ice into a glass.
Add the sloe gin and sugar syrup, before finishing with lemon tonic
Garnish with a mint sprig

Elderflower & Blackberry Fizz

35ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
50ml cloudy apple juice
15ml elderflower cordial
Prosecco top

Method:
Build in a large wine glass with ice
Top with a splash of Prosecco.
Garnish with green apple slices

Blackberry Negroni

30ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
15ml sloe gin
15ml Campari
15ml Chambord
15ml Rosso Vermouth
2 dashes of peychaud's bitters

Method:
Stir in a mixing glass with ice for 30 seconds.
Serve in a rocks glass over ice
Garnish with a blackberry and grapefruit peel twist

Bramble 75

25ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
15ml lemon juice
10ml sugar syrup
Prosecco top

Method:
Shake and double strain into a champagne flute
Top with the Prosecco.
Garnish with a blackberry

Mulledberry Gin

35ml Slingsby Blackberry Gin
50ml port
100ml apple juice
10ml sugar syrup
Orange slice
2 cloves
1 Small cinnamon stick

Method:
In a pan, gently heat the above to simmer.
Serve warm in a latte glass or mug
Garnish with an orange slice
