SMH Group has announced that they are continuing their stadium sponsorship with Chesterfield FC for a further three years, which will see the club’s ground continue to be called the SMH Group Stadium for the duration of the renewed partnership.

This new agreement continues to build upon the firm’s partnership with the Derbyshire club, which began in 2023, and ‘reflects SMH Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves’.

On the renewed sponsorship, the CEO of SMH Group, Jonathon Dickens, said:
“We’re delighted to renew our stadium sponsorship for another three years and continue our partnership with Chesterfield FC. The club plays a huge role in the local community, and the stadium has become a real point of pride for us as a business.”

“This sponsorship is about more than having our name on the stadium; it is about backing an organisation that brings people together and represents the town so well. We are looking forward to supporting the club over the next three seasons and seeing what the future holds.”

SMH Group is an accounting and financial services firm which offers ‘a range of services including accountancy, financial planning, wills & probate, audit & assurance, commercial finance and residential mortgages’.

Alongside its location in Chesterfield, SMH Group also has locations in Barnsley, Buxton, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Garforth, Leeds, Rotherham, Sheffield and Wakefield.

On their links with the club and the wider Chesterfield community, Dickens said: “Longstanding Chesterfield based accountants Mitchells, joined the group in November 2025 becoming SMH Mitchells which further improves our presence in Chesterfield.”

“Over the past few seasons, staff have regularly attended matches at the stadium, supported local initiatives connected to the club, and helped raise the profile of both Chesterfield FC and the town through Chesterfield through shared campaigns and community activity.”

SMH Group supports the communities that it is based in through ‘long-term partnerships, local investment, and meaningful involvement in regional sport’.

The renewal of Chesterfield’s stadium sponsorship therefore represents its ‘shared values, community pride, and a desire to support the club, its supporters, and the wider Chesterfield area for the long term.’

On the club’s partnership with SMH Group, the Chairman of Chesterfield FC Ashley Kirk said:
“We’re thrilled that SMH Group has committed to a further three years as our stadium sponsor. Their support has been instrumental since the partnership began, and it is fantastic to continue working with a business that shares our commitment to the town and its community. We look forward to building on this strong relationship in the seasons ahead.”

This Friday Chesterfield FC will face Notts County in the second leg of their Football League Two Playoff Semi-Final, as they will look to overturn the 0-1 deficit to face either Salford City or Grimsby Town in the final.
