Preview: Trio Klein, Skipton Music

Skipton Music’s next concert at Skipton Town Hall features Trio Klein, a dynamic London-based string trio with an innovative programme spanning some 250 years from Bach to Penderecki. https://www.trioklein.com/

Formed by three award-winning and critically acclaimed musicians: violinist Kamila k.Bydlowska, violist Shiry Rashkovsky and cellist Ella Rundle, Trio Klein achieved amazing early success when they gave their London debut in 2018. Since then they have performed extensively in the UK including St Martin-in-the-Fields, Bath Recitals and Chobham Music Festival. Their first international tour throughout Italy was featured on RAI TV. In July 2021, they gave a live performance on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’.

It’s over 10 years since a string trio has performed at Skipton Music and we’re looking forward to an exciting, varied programme which includes excerpts from Bach’s Goldberg Variations, and string trios by Sibelius, Strauss and Penderecki. The evening ends with the hauntingly beautiful string trio by Gideon Klein whose music has been championed by the Trio Klein, and from whom they have taken their name.”

The concert will take place on Tuesday 8 February at Skipton Town Hall and will be operating a system of numbered and distanced seating to allow people to sit in Covid safe ‘bubbles’. Concert goers are being asked to wear a face covering (unless medically exempt) at all times in the Concert Hall.

In addition to standard £1 tickets for under-19s, Skipton Music is piloting a new scheme for under-30s this year with a limited number of tickets available for each concert at only £5, on a first-come, first-served basis.
