Launch Of Scenic Eclipse 2022/23 Worldwide Voyages Collection

Luxury cruise operator Scenic has released Scenic Eclipse’s 2022/23 Worldwide Discovery Voyages, featuring new remote destinations previously inaccessible to many travellers.

Scenic Eclipse will visit 35 countries across 48 voyages as part of an extensive worldwide programme now covering six continents. Many regions on the various itineraries are largely untouched ranging from the volcanoes of the Pacific Ring of Fire, to the wildlife of the Northeast Passage and the historic western coast of Japan

In celebration of its 2022/23 launch, the line is offering savings of up to 20% on selected voyages for bookings paid in full 12 months prior to departure.

All new 2022/23 bookings are covered by Scenic’s flexible booking policy, enabling guests to defer their cruise to another travel date or itinerary up to 60 days prior to departure*, and come with Scenic’s Deposit Protection Plan included.

Highlights of the new 2022/23 collection include:

Beyond the Antarctic Circle – NEW ITINERARY
Enter the pristine frozen landscapes made up of never-ending icefields, towering rock faces, glistening blue icebergs and an incredible range of undisturbed wildlife. Visiting just after the summer solstice, guests will enjoy plenty of daylight for discovery expeditions.The 16-day voyages start from £15,715 per person, departing Buenos Aires on 20 December 2022.

Jewels of the Russian Far East: Discover some of the planet’s least visited regions in Russia’s Far East on a sailing through Chukotka and Kamchatka – an area of forbidden lands to foreigners until just two decades ago. Bursting with native wildlife including brown bears and reindeer, guests can kayak around rocky cliff faces and explore Cold War vestiges on guided hikes around abandoned Russian military barracks. The 14-day voyage starts from £14,105 per person departing 27 May and 25 July 2023.

Fire & Ocean: Russia’s Kamchatka & The Kurils:
Venture along one of the world’s most active plate boundaries, The Pacific Ring of Fire, on this 13-day itinerary. Home to at least a hundred volcanoes, the Kuril Islands rise from the deep and have developed into a chain of unique and dramatic landscapes, replete with fertile soil and ample wildlife. Discover the history of the indigenous Ainu people, and learn the intricacies of the dispute between Russia and Japan over these remote islands, with prices starting from £13,525 per person departing 9 June and 13 July 2023.

Cross the Legendary Northeast Passage: Journey where very few have been before as Scenic Eclipse navigates the remote regions and countless wonders of one of the greatest seaways in the world, the Northeast Passage. Sailing from Nome in the United States to Tromsø in Norway, journey through sea ice, glaciers and ancient ceremonial sites along mountain-lined landscapes and volcanic spires.

Highlights include the rarely visited Novaya Zemlya, the third largest wilderness area in Europe, and the world’s northernmost archipelago, Franz Josef Land. Prices for the 26-day voyage start from £23,515 per person departing 6 August 2023.

Japan: A Journey Through Time: Explore glitzy futuristic cities and ancient well-preserved cultures in six-star luxury on Scenic Eclipse’s first-ever sailings in the land of the rising sun. Head to the west coast and discover the country’s challenging past, mesmerising traditions and cultures, and immaculate lush scenery on a journey through regions largely untouched by tourism. The 12-day itinerary sails from Otaru to Kobe (Osaka), including a visit to Aomori to witness one of the largest and best-preserved archaeological dig sites. Prices start from £12,580 per person departing 21 June 2023.

Natural Wonders of Japan:
This 12-day itinerary explores the eastern coast – observing the contrast between the neon-lit city of Tokyo and the unspoiled island of Hokkaido, considered Japan’s last frontier. Along the way, learn of the history of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route, and Date Masamune, one of Japan’s most powerful feudal lords. Prices start from £12,580 per person departing 2 July 2023. For a complete circumnavigation voyage of Japan, guests can combine the two sailings from £21,755 departing 21 June 2023.
