Imageco Launches The Next Generation Design Competition

Leeds-based wide-format print specialist, Imageco, is hosting an exciting new competition for recent school-leavers. The Next Generation Competition will be showcasing innovative and passionate students and giving them the stepping stone they need to gain invaluable work experience in the print sector.

“This is a difficult time for many school leavers, with cancelled exams and proms. I wanted to launch this competition to give them an incentive to be creative and use the time they have positively” says Nathan Swinson-Bullough, Director of Imageco.

The competition comprises of two categories; Graphic Design and 3D Design. The Graphic Design category involves designing a new campaign for a chosen brand, tackling logos, colours and fonts, whilst the 3D Design will see the applicants developing a bespoke POS design made completely from sustainable materials. Both categories will test the entrants on their inspiration by creating something that’s truly unique.

The shortlisted individuals will be reviewed by a committee of judges who are industry specialists to choose the final winner. Both categories will have the chance to win a grand prize of £250 alongside a month-long placement at Imageco. The placement gives recent school leavers the chance to learn the ropes of this creative and fast-paced sector and help them to get their foot in the door for future employment. The runner-up will also receive an amazing £200 and gain a certificate representing their excellence.

Imageco encourages all recent school leavers who have a passion for design graphics and 3D creation to enter the competition. All entries are completely free. To enter and see the full details on the competition, visit Imageco’s site. The deadline for entries is the 30th of June.
