Haydock Finance has announced that Harley Rushton, a professional motorcycle racer, has received support via their employee charity scheme to compete in the prestigious Isle of Man Classic TT.
Twenty eight year old Harley is well-known within the national motorcycling community. His journey into racing was inspired by his father and grandfather. At a young age he knew this was something he wanted to pursue and his passion for the sport has grown ever since. Harley has achieved significant success winning 5 Classic Racing 350 Twin Championships, 4 other National Classic Championships and having podium finishes in a number of other national races.
He has more recently set his sights on the iconic Isle of Man Classic Road Races. In his first year Harley finished as top newcomer around the 5 mile course in the South of the Island and followed up with a podium finish when he returned the following year. On Friday 23rd August, Harley will be competing on the famous 37 ¾ mile long Mountain Course. His first appearance at this iconic event has left him with a mix of emotions as he is set to start his practice and qualifying week this Sunday.
Blacburn based Haydock Finance has been a leading asset finance specialist for over 40 years, supporting the growth of UK SMEs through funding for business-critical assets. Their employee charity scheme enables members of their 140 strong team to nominate a charity, organisation or an individual’s campaign to receive some support.
Lea Lawrence, Marketing Manager, adds:
"We are thrilled to be supporting Harley Rushton at this year’s Isle of Man Classic TT as he takes on the spectacular and legendary Mountain Course. His passion, commitment and professional approach made him a great contender for our employee charity scheme and we would like to wish him the very best in his pursuit of victory.”
