Gino D'Acampo Returns To Harrogate Restaurant For An Exclusive Evening
Graham Clark, Features Writer
Probably the UK's favourite Italian chef, Gino D'Acampo returned to Harrogate recently to host a special evening at My Restaurant.
Whilst some restaurants appear to be struggling and closing the Gino D'Acampo restaurants seem to be thriving, in fact the Harrogate restaurant is one of the busiest ones.
The exclusive party for 150 guests opened with a reception of Prosecco and cicchetti, followed by a tempting four course meal paired with the finest Italian wine.
Talking guests through each dish, created exclusively by the popular chef for the evening, Gino shared stories of his time growing up in Italy, his journey as a chef and why the dishes served are amongst his own personal favourites.
I wondered who/what music he grew up listening to. "I loved Queen" he told me "but my dad liked the Rolling Stones and I used to listen to them too."
He later took questions from the floor which he happily answered in full, thanking guests for their continued support and for making the Harrogate restaurant one of his top performing restaurants.
Coupled with an exciting menu and excellent service from the mostly Italian staff a good experience is assured.
Speaking of the evening Gino said:
"It is great to be back in Harrogate. I always look forward to my visits. The people here are fantastic and full of Yorkshire hospitality, they have welcomed my restaurant with open arms and it is brilliant to be able to celebrate with them tonight. I am looking forward to many more amazing and prosperous years here in Harrogate."
