A new scheme aimed at helping mums looking to return to work after having their children or make a change to their work life to better suit their family life has launched in Sheffield.

Women to Work aims to help mums across the city to build an action plan for their return to work or to launch their own business.

Emma Shute and Jenny Pollock set up the programme, and have been delighted with the response from women in the city so far.

Emma said:
"We initially held four free drop-in sessions at cafes in Sheffield, where mums could come along and find out what the scheme is all about and how we can help them to get ready for a return to work or support them to set up and launch their own business.

"We were really pleased with the sessions and as a result, we have decided to lay on some more free sessions to make sure that we are able to reach as many women as possible."

Lisa, a working mum from Bakewell, attended one of the first sessions. She said:
"I felt so welcome at the drop in session at Café Ceres and it really helped talking to Emma and Jenny. All of their advice, encouragement and information really helped me prepare for a coming interview - and I got the job!"

Coaching sessions and coaching workshops are now available for booking via the website and take place from May onwards.
