Underworld And Iggy Pop - Teatime Dub Encounters (Caroline)
Graham Clark, Features Writer
It might sound like an unlikely encounter Iggy Pop teaming up with Underworld but it works.

There are only 4 tracks on the album/EP with three of them going on for over 7 minutes.

Opening track Bells and Circles sees Iggy reminiscing about the golden days of airline travel when he could smoke on the plane! Set over the electronic soundscape of Underworld's music the track works very well.

Elsewhere I'll See You Big sees Iggy in a more mournful state but it is the last track Get Your Shirt where two different worlds come together. Another electronic number that is probably the most commercial track here. There is a female backing vocal that sounds surprisingly like Annie Lennox.

If you like either of these two different artists then you might find yourself presently surprised here.

I give the album 3 out of 5
