Skipton Food Bank
Skipton Food Bank, launched just a few months ago, has already proved a successful last resort for people who simply cannot afford to feed themselves and their family.

Operating across the Craven district, the Food Bank works with Social Services and other community organisations to collect emergency food parcels and distribute them to those in desperate need.

The Food Bank is a very simple concept: Those of us lucky enough to be able to feed ourselves simply buy a small amount of extra food with our weekly shop - a tin of beans or soup perhaps - and drop it in to the Food Bank. The SFB volunteers do the rest.

If you are part of a business, charitable organisation or church community in Craven, and you are interested in hearing more about this pioneering project, the please call 01756 701099.

On Tuesday 14th May at 6:30 SFB is holding an 'awareness dinner' to publicise their work. The dinner is held at Skipton Baptist Church and all interested parties are invited.

Spaces are limited so SFB has asked that you call 01756 701099 to book your place.

Continually updated details of the Food Bank's current needs are published at
