Preview: Roy Wood Gig - Holmfirth - Wednesday 17 December

Roy Wood
Roy Wood
At this time of the year it is hard not to hear the Wizard track, I wish it could be Christmas Everyday but it is easy to forget that Roy Wood has had many hits over the years besides one of his most played tracks.

As the lead singer and main songwriter of The Move in the late 1960s he was behind their number 1 hit single Blackberry Way besides the groups other hits like Fire Brigade. He then went on to form ELO in the early 1970s but then left the group to firm Wizard who had other hits with See My Baby Jive, Angel Fingers and California Man besides the aforementioned I wish it could be Christmas Everyday.

This is a rare opportunity to witness one of pop music's original innovators and promises to be a night to remember.
