Mario And Sonic are back in their third game. This time for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Age Rating- 3+

Publishers-SEGA / Nintendo

1-4 players

Controls: Wii Remote, Wii Nunchuck

The Main Menu is well set out with 4 main options: "Single Match", the new "London Party", "Bonus" and "Options".

The single match options allows the player to perform in the Olympic events in a single match format. This is a mix of a one time event or, in the case of some sports like Volleyball, the player progresses through a tournament system with only two games to play. If you complete an event, you may receive 1 or 2 "scratch cards".

Then there is London Party. This is a 1-4 player game with the object of collecting stickers by racing two characters and then talking to them. Just to keep you on your toes, they will either tell you something completely irrelevant or give you the opportunity to collect stickers by competing in a mixture of Normal, or Dream Olympic events.

The game lets you select from 3 time maximum game length settings, 30 mins, 60 mins, or 90 mins. The winner is the first person to fill in their 'sticker sheets'.

There is a great 'Bonus option' where players can use their previously earned scratch cards to obtain music from past games of Mario or Sonic or items of clothing for your Mii character.

The game has a huge number of option, such as:

Olympic Events

Athletics
Track- 100m, 110m Hurdles, 4x100m Relay.
Field - Long Jump, Hammer Throw, Discus, Javelin

Gymnastics
Un-even bars, Trampoline, Rhythmic Ribbons.

Aquatics
100m Freestyle, Synchronised Swimming.

Canoeing, Equestrian, Badminton, Beach Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, Shooting, Fencing, and Cycling.

Dream Events

Long Jump, Rafting, Discus, Un-even bars, Hurdles, Equestrian, Sprint, Trampoline, Spacewalk, and Fencing.

In conclusion, this game has a had a major overhaul since its 2008 counterpart. With new events replacing a few old ones, and new features. This has made the game better. But could be even better if previous events were still included.

I give it 4 stars.
