Gig Preview: Slipknot With Korn - Sheffield Arena - Friday 16 January 2015

Two of rocks music's biggest groups are coming to Yorkshire as part of the European arena tour.

Formed in California in 1993 Korn released their self titled album in 1994 and went on to have success with the albums Follow the Leader, Issues and Take A Look In The Mirror. The current line up features founding members Jonathan Davies (vocals and bagpipes), James Shaffer (guitar), Brian Welch (guitar and backing vocals) and Reginald Arvizu (bass).

Slipknot is well known for its attention-grabbing image, their energetic music and impressive live gigs. From the release of their self titled debut album in 1999 it has been a chaotic ride.

After a few years away from the rock scene the band returned last year with their fifth studio album 5: The Gray Chapter. Their live shows are some of the best you will experience in the rock sphere, often featured are fireworks, elevated stage areas and plenty of mayhem.



The band have been nominated in the past for 8 Grammy Awards and won a Grammy in 2006 for Best Metal Performance for the single Before I Forget.

The gig promises to be a fine way for any rock fan to kick start 2015.
