Album Review: Take That - 111 (Polydor)

Now down to a three piece following Jason Orange's departure, this latest album from Take That sees them as a three piece hence the album's title.

The album is not, as some might have thought, a Gary Barlow dominated album: all 3 members co wrote the tracks and generally the album is very upbeat.

The first single These Days sets the pace for the album whilst the second track on the album has been influenced by the likes of Avicci which flows over into LoveLife where Mark Owen performs the vocals.

Higher Than Higher is a typical Take That track whilst one of the album's best tracks is the synth driven song I Like It: it sees the band at their best; it could be the 21st century son of the Chicory Tip track from the 70's, Son of My Father!

Mark Owen performs vocals again on Into the Wild another highlight on the album; they have certainly not been resting on their laurels. The album closes with Get Ready for It. With their summer tour to look forward to and this new album of great songs to perform, it looks like we will all be ready for them next year. If you are a Take That fan you will not be disappointed with this album.
