Gig Preview: Thunder - Leeds Arena

After sharing the stage with Aerosmith and Mott the Hoople at the Clapham Calling gig in London last year, UK rockers Thunder have announced a UK arena tour for this March which calls at Leeds Arena on 12th March.

Over the years the band has had 18 Top 40 UK singles and a stack of gold and silver albums. The band shocked fans a few years ago when they said that the band were retiring but the fans always knew that the band would be back again and now they are!

The band will be releasing their first album since 2008 on 16th February entitled Wonder Days to coincide with the tour. The album was produced by guitarist Luke Morley. Promising to be "a potent mix of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll that is as contemporary as it is steeped in the finest music of the last few decades"

Joining Thunder on the arena gigs will be Reef who will be appearing as special guests. The band exploded on to the UK rock scene in 1994 as part of a revitalised rock movement that included Feeder and Skunk Anansie.

The first act on stage will be rhythm and blues rockers, Tax the Heat who come from Bristol.

It looks like being a night of classic rock that any rock fan young or old will enjoy.

Tickets for the gig are available from: www.eventim.co.uk
