Album Review: The Only Way Is Essex - Dance Anthems (Warner Music TV)

Don't let the title put you off as this 3 album compilation is a great overview of some of the biggest pop hits from the last few months. The title of the album stems from the fact that cast member and DJ Lauren Pope has mixed the album.

Starting off with three #1 singles the album gets off to a fine start: Nico and Vinz - Am I Wrong, Mr Probz - Waves and Lilywood & Robin Schulz - Prayer in C, are great pop tracks. Interesting though to note that these three tracks all come from continental Europe where they were big hits earlier this summer before becoming UK #1 hits.

The UK is represented though with SecondCity and their huge hit this summer I Wanna Feel and Gorgon City with their big hit Here for You.

The second CD has Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Clean Bandit on there although the tracks contained here are dance remixes. Ed Sheeran's Sing sounds like it has been re-invented with the Syn Cole remix.

The third CD contains some of the dance classics and club anthems from the last 15 years such as The Shapeshifters and Lola's Theme, Moloko and Sing It Back and The Original with I Luv U Baby.

In 3 CD's you have the best of the current pop and dance tracks with a nod to some classic tracks on the third CD. This CD package sounds good in the car as well as at home too and of course not only in Essex but Yorkshire too!

I give the album 4 out of 5.

The album is released on Monday 13th October and is available to pre-order on amazon at: http://smarturl.it/TOWIEAnthems
